engraved and cut some small stacked alder wood-cut toys (pre-paint job) for Michelle Romo of Crowded Teeth.
just saw the newly-released Superman: Man of Steel poster, focused on the chain-mail S glyph - spent some time last year detailing hundreds of those things, as well as other latex & foil details for other, similar character costumes in the film (#nospoilers).
/decidedly twisted love for spending days in headphones and magnifying goggles while detailing tiny objects.
engraved some custom frames for the Good Sir Mike Mitchell’s fantastic first solo show at Gallery 1988, this last April. [ blog.sirmitchell.com ]
worked on a huge series of pop-culture laser-cut silhouettes with the Good Sir Olly Moss for his Paper Cut Show at Gallery1988 (2011). he illustrated about 300 characters from films/shows/books/games and the like, and we spent about a month making, re-making, and mounting all of the details in paper-cut form. this was incredibly fun, and we felt like children. super, super busy children.
